Upcoming GSC Board Meeting

On Sunday, February 19 the GSC Board will be meeting at the Rose-Harms American Legion Lower Level at 6:00 pm.  The entrance to the lower level is on the back side of the building.  It might not look like the lights are on or that there is anyone in the building from the outside because the windows are tinted dark, but that is where we'll be!   Please join us, as we are looking for volunteers to fill out our board and keep it strong in future years.  This is a great opportunity for you to get involved.  We hope to see you February 19!  If you have any questions, contact Tricia at graftonrangers@gmail.com or any of the board members.

GSC is excited to share with you that the DNR recently approved the permit for our field development plan.  The GSC board members are committed to moving along with this project and will continue to keep you updated as we move forward.

Congratulations, Coach Arnold!

Congratulations to Coach Don Arnold, who was named the Journal Sentinel Girls Soccer Coach of the Year in June, 2011.

Coach Arnold took the Grafton Black Hawks to the Division 1 state semifinals after making the Division 2 championship match last season.  The Black Hawks shared the North Shore Conference championship with Homestead and finished 19-2-3 in the regular season.  At state, they defeated Whitefish Bay, 2-0, in the quarterfinals. The season ended with a tough shootout loss to Waukesha West in the semifinals. The teams played scoreless soccer for 100 minutes before West advanced to the championship match, 4-2, in a shootout.

We are proud of you and the entire Black Hawks team!
