U8 Academy Rangers
Congratulations to our U8 Academy Rangers for playing so well this season. Our little Rangers have managed to be undefeated in 2 tournaments and 4 season games in the spring. They have managed to score 54 goals while giving up only 7 goals during their 4 spring season games. Their development has come from their dedication to hard work and believing that soccer is a beautiful game. They are just loving it and wish they would play it every day. In no specific order, our U8 Academy Rangers are; Kyler, Bryce, Evan, Bryson, Niko, Leila, Cora, and Weston. If you see them at Zaun, congratulate them for doing such a good job.
GSC U8 Comets
The GSC U8 Comets finished the season strong. This past weekend they played two games where everyone showed teamwork, communication, and passion for soccer. On Saturday, with the hot and humid conditions, the team still had energy and enthusiasm to showcase their skills and hard work this past year. On Sunday the Comets dominated the NSU Crew. It was great to see the dribbling, passing, and shooting all come together on the last game of the season. Each player improved during the year and impressed both parents and coaches with their performances this weekend. Great season Comets!!!!!
U13 Ranger Boys
Congratulations to our U13 Rangers for winning the MYRSL “U13A BLUE Division” this past weekend, with still one game to go. The Rangers won the game 2-0 against the previously undefeated Lake Geneva United to reach this early Title. Our undefeated Rangers are currently 5-0 for the season with 21GF and only 3GA. This success can only be accomplished as a completely unselfish and hardworking players who are playing as a true team effort while having a lot of fun doing it. The Rangers will look to close out the season in a game against Whitefish Bay on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. We hope that you come and see us play. Our U13 Rangers are also scheduled to travel to the KISS Tournament held in Kalamazoo, Michigan, next weekend June 18-19, which is considered as one of the best college soccer show cases.
U14 Ranger Boys Blue
The U14 Boys Blue Rangers were in action on the road twice this weekend with their sights set on keeping the lead in league play. First up was MK Alliance. The Rangers did not have one of their better games on this hot Saturday morning. The score went back and forth, and after a controversial pass back call, the Ranger were faced with 2-3 deficit that they could not overcome. Scoring goals for the Rangers were Jake on a header from Jan's corner kick, and by a nice solid shot from Alec.
On Sunday the boys sailed south to Pewaukee. The host Pirates put up a solid fight early, but soon the Rangers' solid play broke them down and the goals started to flow. The first goal came on a solid shot by Will from about 25 yards out. The next goal was scored by Jan, which clearly took the wind out of the Pirates' sails. Finishing up the game with three more goals were Jose, Bradd, and an own goal off a shot by Brendan.
Remember boys, you're only as good as your next game. Play your last two games with Heart, Passion, & Desire and bring home the league Championship this weekend!
