Congratulations to the U14 Ranger boys for their recent accomplishments.  On October 8-9 they took first place at the Chicago Socker Nike Classic.  On October 15-16 they took first place at the Mequon United U14 Gold Cup Division.  The Rangers are currently in first place in the State League 2nd Division bracket with a record of 5-0 in league play.  They are continuing to work hard and playing as a complete team (keeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards).  Their current 2011 fall season record, including 3 high level tournaments, is 15-1-1.  Keep it up, Rangers!  ~Coach Farhad

U13 Ranger Girls
The U 13 RANGER girls had a successful weekend at the Mequon tournament this past weekend. Despite not making the finals and wind that was better for sailing then soccer, the girls showed some good play and created quality scoring chances. In the first game Saturday, the opponent was Plymouth and the RANGERS had a decisive 3-0 victory which had the girls very excited. The scoring started with a nice pass from Maria Olson to Hailey Hacker on the back post that Hailey finished. Caitlin Kugi had the second goal and Hailey finished them off with the third goal. In game two we faced the eventual tournament champion, Paper Valley. Paper Valley was able to take advantage of their opportunities in the first half, going up 3-0 on the RANGERS. The girls did not give up and in the second half created some chances, but could not find the back of the net. The game ended 3-0. Sunday morning proved to be a good game for the girls. They defeated FC Magic Strikers 2-1 and controlled the majority of the game. The RANGERS jumped out to an early lead with a great pass from Brianna Schnell to Megan Barrian, who sprinted by the defenders and made no mistake tucking it past the Magic keeper. After giving up a goal right before halftime, the RANGERS pressed and pressed and came up with the game winner late in the second half. Caitlin served a perfect corner to Megan, who brought the ball down and struck a solid shot past many defenders and the goalkeeper. The final whistle blew and the RANGERS won. The excitement carried over after the game as the team sung a great rendition of happy birthday to Jamie Weinhold as they jumped up and down around her.  Hats off to our keepers and defense who secured two wins during the weekend. GO RANGERS!!!  ( H.P.D)
